Charlie’s Turn!

June 26th, 2020 – Charlie’s turn! Originally Charlie had a vision for a real adventure but after some research we weren’t able to make it happen on this Friday. Stay tuned though – we have a plan in a few weeks! In the absence of the real adventure Charlie decided on putt-putt golf. He wanted it to be a bit different though so he decided we would head to Lincoln.

We all loaded up in the van and settled in for a long road trip to Lincoln (30 minutes away 😊). For lunch he chose Cracker Barrel (I think mostly for the candy he *might* be able to get in the shop!). This ended up being a great choice because everyone was excited! (It’s a miracle!). We ate a delicious Cracker Barrel lunch (they have a huge dining room and we were able to stay socially distant easily!). After lunch Charlie (wink wink) provided everyone with $4 to buy a treat! After much debate they each chose some candy and made sure to spend every cent of the $4!

After filling up on lunch and candy we were ready for a dinosaur adventure at Prehistoric Putt-Putt. We made our way to the course and were met by this giant dinosaur!

We had a blast! Each hole had it’s own challenge and thankfully everyone was game to try the unique challenges! We even had a couple of holes in 1. Some of our favorites were the zipline, the pinball tee, the loop the loop, and trying to win a free game (spoiler alert we didn’t get one!).

All in all a great fieldtrip! Charlie really wanted to hit up the QT for slushies but we decided that was probably enough sugar for the day 😊
