Hi it’s Katie and Juliette and we’re here to write about Taunus Wunderland (https://taunuswunderland.de/startseite.html). My favorite (it’s Katie) ride was the Wild Mouse Ride. you sat in a little car and zipped through a track. Dad thinks its an out of the box cart because theres one in the amusment park near Grampa Mike. My favorite (it’s Juliette) was the huge log chute. We went with our cousins and their parents. KP (dad) Katha (mom), Oskar, and Artur (cousins). When we arrived we walked on a path and we heard this little song. As we were paying Katie just walked in and got on a ride. Our first ride was the bumper cars, then we went to the Dino Land. The ride at the Dino Land was a pedal ride – it made everyone tired! There was a super dangerous slide – like a corkscrew on a roller coaster except it went down. There was some playground equipment you operated yourself – you sat in the middle and someone hit the button to make it go. The middle part would spin around and throw you off! Juliette got a rug burn😠so she didn’t like it. We liked the zipline area a lot. Charlie liked the log ride because it went up, then turned you backwards, then went down. We enjoyed treats like a Flutsch Finger,( which I think is supposed to be a booger on a finger -Katie) cherry cream chocolate waffle, and crepes! To mom’s dismay the chicken ride was closed. We recommend Taunus Wunderland if you are in Germany!
A little out of order but here’s our review on Erlebnispark Steinau: https://www.erlebnispark-steinau.de/
I Katie am now going to write all about another amusement park, Erlebnispark Steinau. You may have heard of things you do- yourself like a kit or dollhouse. Well I bet that you have never heard of a do-yourself amusement park until now! Only 5 rides had attendants! My personal favorite ride was the boat ride! I sat in the boat and pulled the lap bar down. Dad then closed the gate and pushed the button. I pulled a rope and it started. It pulled me me up a hill backwards! At the top it let go. I went down the hill and was launched off the edge into a pond! It was scary the first few times but became more exhilarating than scary the more I went. Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/Z9XfQ3dpeeU
Another ride all of us enjoyed (Charlie enjoyed it the most) were some large slides like the big slide at the pumpkin patch except these were near directly down.
We also went on a frog ride (thinking of you Lucy) which spun you around like on the wild ride at the pizza machine! It made me and the parents dizzy but the little guys loved it. The next ride I’m going to talk about is the bobsled ride. You sat down on this little metal bobsled and zipped down a track. We passed by a little lake and saw a little boat … Turned over with someone soaking wet on top! Notice I’m not talking about what riding on that was like! If you didn’t get it we did not ride on it! The last thing I am going to talk about is the petting zoo. I went in and a bunch of the animals ran right to me while the sheep ran away! I even petted a baby calf!
GO Erlebnispark Steinau!
Mom’s Note: What struck me most was the fact no one was there – I mean NO ONE! At the end of the day (5:00pm) we only saw one employee in the entire park and he was sweeping the front walk! We rode bumper cars, a boat ride, and mechanical ponies with no attendant in sight! We were the only customers in the entire park. This has been a highlight of Charlie’s trip. He keeps asking to go back to the “Donkey Place.” (Their mascot is a donkey 🙂
